Bachelor’s Stew - This extraordinary, beef stew is as hearty as they come, and we called it bachelor’s stew, because it os so easy! A succulent, slow cooker recipe, you literally “throw” it together, and enjoys it’s aroma all day. A rich, thick, meaty stew that is exceptionally easy!

Ingredients to make Bachelor’s Stew
2 pounds beef chuck, cut in 1 inch cubes
1/3 cup dry bread crumbs
1 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 large onion, cut in eighths
3 carrots, peeled, split lengthwise in 4 inch pieces
4 stalks celery, cut in 1 inch pieces
1 teaspoon leaf basil
1/3 cup quick-cooking tapioca
1 4 oz can sliced mushrooms, undrained
1 teaspoon Kitche Bouquet
2 10.75 oz can condensed tomato soup
1 cup beef broth or water

Herbed Beef Stew - This super chunky beef stew meat recipe is a no fuss favorite at our house. Jam packed with fresh garden vegetables and simmered to a fork-tender chuck steak. Simmered stove top, for a few hours, the fragrant garlic and herbs guarantee you are hungry when it’s ready.

Ingredients to make Herbed Beef Stew
3 large New potatoes, cut in small chunks
3 pounds Chuck steak
1 cup Fresh string beans, cut in 1-1/2 inch cubes
2 cups Red onion, coarsely sliced
1/2 package Frozen baby green peas
10 milliliters Garlic, minced
1 small Bay leaf
1 cup Dry red wine
pn Basil
1 can 28oz Whole tomatoes, in puree
pn Thyme
pn Oregano
4 Carrots, peeled and cut in small chunks
salt and pepper to taste
** if you only have tomatoes in liquid, not puree, dump the liquid and add tomato paste, to get puree texture
