Ingredients to make Ground Beef In Pita

4 pita bread
2 Tablespoons butter
2 Tablespoons chopped onion
1 clove garlic, minced
2 Tablespoons minced green pepper
1 pound ground beef
1 Tablespoon prepared mustard
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon salt
freshly ground black pepper
1 1/2 cups peeled, seeded and chopped tomatoes

Directions to make Ground Beef In Pita

Step 1:Heat the bread in a low oven.
Step 2:Heat the butter in a skillet and saute\’ the onion, garlic and pepper until just soft; do not brown. Add the beef, mustard, oregano, salt and a generous amount of pepper. Cook, stirring, until the meat is no longer red.
Step 3:At the last minute stir in the chopped tomatoes and cook briefly. Cut the pitas in half and stuff the pouches.
